The weight of fighting for racial equity has rested too long on Black women's shoulders – a burden never meant to be carried alone. True change demands more than allies; it requires accomplices who are ready to share both the work and the risks. Yet this partnership can only flourish once we collectively confront and heal from our racial trauma – both inherited and lived. Healing isn't just a prerequisite for change; it's the foundation for building authentic, powerful coalitions that can finally transform systems of inequity.

WHAT IS AN ACCOMPLICE?

An accomplice is someone who actively supports and works alongside oppressed people. Unlike an ally, who may offer support or solidarity from a position of less direct involvement, an accomplice is deeply engaged and committed to taking action that challenges systemic injustices and power structures.

FAQs

  • No. Guilt won't get us anywhere. Action and awareness will. Our core focus is on equipping White women who WANT to be effective allies and accomplices.

Feeling uncomfortable and feeling guilty aren't equivalent. Black women and other marginalized groups walk through life steeped in discomfort/feeling uncomfortable because THE WORLD tells us we are other. Committed accomplices are willing to investigate the sources of their discomfort and how their personal and social behaviors contribute to others' discomfort.

We are not recruiting - and we aren't interested in facilitating guilt cycles.
